If you’re on court when the flag rule goes into effect:
Complete your set, playing a tiebreaker at 6-all, and then rotate off provided the flag is still raised. As a courtesy to those waiting, please use the scorecards when the flag is up. If you are just hitting / practicing when the flag goes up, you may do so for an additional 20 minutes, but you must rotate off afterwards provided the flag is still raised. After rotating off, you can add your name to the whiteboard if you’d like to play again.
If the flag rule is in effect and you’re waiting for a court:
Make sure you list your name on the whiteboard indicating you are waiting for a court. Note: You may sign up to play either singles or doubles while the flag is up. Warm-ups are limited to five minutes before each set. Complete one set, playing a tiebreaker at 6-all, and please use the scorecards as a courtesy to those who are waiting. If the flag rule is still in effect after you complete your set, please rotate off and add your name to the whiteboard if you’d like to play again.
No solo practicing is allowed while the flag rule is in effect. If you choose to hit or practice with a partner, you may do so for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes of hitting or practicing has elapsed, if the flag rule is still in effect, please rotate off the court. You can add your name to the whiteboard if you’d like to play again.

Tennis Player Evaluation – Getting the most into your game.
Aren’t sure if you are a beginner tennis player or should be playing at a more advanced level? Maybe you just need a few tweaks to your technique and you’re ready to compete? Maybe you just donated that wooden racquet, purchased a new, super light composite and realized, ‘holy crap’ this game has changed!
A variety of social events are held at the Center during the season. Information about upcoming activities will be posted in advance at the Clubhouse and the Web site calendar. One long-standing tradition is “Sunday Tea On The Porch”.
Various groups of Season Pass Holders volunteer to provide refreshments on Sundays; this year, the “teas” will be held at 10:30 a.m. Come enjoy something to eat or drink between matches and socialize a bit on the porch in the pleasant morning sun.
We also invite you to volunteer to join provide refreshments some Sunday: feel free to sign up on the poster on the clubhouse wall. The more that support this, the better the Teas!
You can organize your own playing buddies, or just join in with others, to keep this wonderful and friendly OPTC tradition alive.
Since 1924 volunteers have managed OPTC to be fiscally self-sufficient while offering clay courts for public use. Season passes and usage fees cover annual repairs, daily maintenance and upkeep of the courts and clubhouse, operating expenses and special programs.
