The Oak Park Tennis Center welcomes new pro Patrick Heneghan! Pat was previously the assistant pro at Saddle and Cycle Club in Chicago and associate head pro at Lakeshore Athletic Club in Chicago under Frank Parker, a U.S. Open, French Open and Wimbledon champion. He also was the head tennis coach at Francis Parker School in Chicago.
Pat has been playing tennis for more than 30 years and is very excited to bring some great programs to the Oak Park Tennis Center. Pat is coordinating our summer junior tennis program for children ages 4 to 17 and is excited to involve more families.
A former tennis shop owner, Pat is also eager to expand on our pro-shop offerings. He will be providing on-site stringing, as well as private and group lessons. Check out his Drop-in Drills – a great way to improve your game and get to know Pat!
“The courts at the Oak Park Tennis Center are some of the best in the state. I look forward to involving more people from the surrounding communities in the outstanding recreation that we provide,” says Pat. “The atmosphere here is energetic, sometimes competitive, but always friendly. We’d like to see more people take advantage of what we have to offer.”
